Wilford really evil and it kinda didn't make any logical sense to me, what would have been much better is if Wilford worked with the crew and then had a plot twist in some of these episodes, those would have been cool, instead they just made him pure evil, but there was no plot really so by the end of the season when it ended, it didn't leave you wanting to watch the next season.
